This is a card that I made for a recent graduation.  It’s primarily from scraps and odds and ends around my stamping room.

This is the whole card

More than likely, the design idea came from a magazine I was reading; as so many of my ideas start there.  I am a scraplifter…I admit it, but I usually start off with someone’s template or design and make it my own.

I made each mini “folder” inside the card hold a bookmark, as you can see from the photo.  I used quote stacks that I got at my local big-box craft store; but it would be just as easy to find quotes appropriate for your occasion, type them out and print on vellum.

I can’t remember the exact publication the idea came from, or I would certainly reference it.

Until next time-

It’s been a while… March 28, 2008

Well, readers…it’s been a while.  I’ve had life, work, home and money take over much of my time in the past couple of months.  But now things are looking up.  We’ve finally gotten a computer at home.  My boyfriend and I were without the internet for (gasp!) almost a year.  Now that I’m online more often and have a decent digital camera, I can’t wait to post more and start to work on my podcast.

That is one of the things that I will be more committed to this year.  I really want to move forward with a podcast that has to do with papercrafting.  I do have a few favorite podcasts that are already out there; and until I get to learn enough to be at least half as good as they are, I’m not going to be rushing into publishing something just to publish.

I’m also going to be more committed to spending time for me so that I can write more and craft more.  I love my papercrafts and have spent hours and hours working on cards and other items for gifts and I really want to get back to that.

So, hold me to it!  Ask how things are going and what I’m working on.  I cannot have any excuses!

See you next time-
